CBR Staff Writer Published 29 June 2009

The new suite equips Polycom’s RPX HD

Regus has opened its first publicly available telepresence suite, equipped with video and voice communications provider Polycom’s RealPresence Experience High Definition (RPX HD) immersive telepresence system, as part of a joint initiative with Cable&Wireless Worldwide, worth more than £32m over five years.

The new immersive telepresence suite is launched globally at Berkeley Square location in Central London. Following the initial announcement in May, this site is reportedly the first to include Polycom RPX telepresence suites in 14 cities.

As part of the initial phase, Regus plans to open its telepresence suites in Paris, Singapore, New York and San Francisco this summer.

Mark Dixon, CEO of Regus, said: We are redefining the world of work, offering business of all sizes flexible, innovative and inspiring locations in which to meet, work and collaborate. In response to rising demand from these organisations we are augmenting and expanding our existing business lounge network around the globe, as we look to better enable the workers of today and tomorrow.
