To meet the demands of technical networking material
Juniper Networks has announced a partnership with O'Reilly Media to jointly write, produce and publish a series of technical networking books that focus on JUNOS software and Juniper’s networking products. O’Reilly, a CA-based company, informs technology trends through its books, online services, magazines and conferences.
The company said that Juniper Networks Technical Library (JNTL) is an effort to produce technical networking material that is demanded by networking industry.
The JNTL will incorporate the six books previously published between the two companies, such as, the JUNOS Cookbook, JUNOS Enterprise Routing and the ScreenOS Cookbook.
New titles will be produced and released through 2012, the first of which includes JUNOS Enterprise Switching and JUNOS High Availability, available in Q3 and Q4 of 2009.
According to Juniper, written by its engineers and subject matter experts, the JNTL is meant for developers, administrators and users seeking more knowledge on JUNOS software, and managing high-performance networks with Juniper routers, switches, security appliances and other network components.
O'Reilly will promote, market and distribute the JNTL to the book retailing and technical publishing marketplace. The company will also offer it via Safari Books Online, its web-based subscription service that offers a searchable reference library of computer books.
