Security professionals can employ one console to gain visibility and control over managed, unmanaged mobile and PC devices

Automated security control services provider ForeScout Technologies has introduced ForeScout Mobile, a set of plug-in modules to enable Android and iOS security management, as well as a plug-in module for Mobile Device Management (MDM) integration.

The combination of ForeScout Mobile and ForeScout CounterACT, the company's Network Access Control (NAC) platform, will enable security professionals to employ one console to gain visibility and control over managed and unmanaged mobile and PC devices, according to the company.

The new release delivers unified approach for NAC, BYOD and MDM, delivering mobile security at the operator's end.
It also enables IT organisations to gain needed flexibility to accelerate Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) adoption and to better manage mobile security risks.

ForeScout Mobile Security Module provides information about the device, its user, its configuration, its apps and its security posture.

ForeScout Mobile MDM Module allows organisations to leverage their existing MDM application within the broader context of unified security control that CounterACT provides.

ForeScout CEO Gord Boyce said the ForeScout Mobile / CounterACT combination offers a flexible and cost-effective means for organisations to implement and extend mobile security across different phases of BYOD adoption and maturity.
