The City of Baltimore has exercised a one-year contract extension worth approximately $6m for city-wide network and systems support with TeleCommunication Systems, a provider of wireless communications and IT professional services.
The contract, signed in 2005, included three base years with the option to exercise two one-year extensions.
Specific TeleCommunication Systems (TCS) services under the contract include: design, installation and management of wide area networks and local area networks; enterprise server services that include anti-virus and content filters; BlackBerry support; patch support; technical helpdesk support including network hardware and software maintenance; desktop hardware/software installation and integration; application development; systems integration; Java/Oracle and legacy database development and maintenance; and citywide closed-circuit television services.
