Bharti Airtel deploys Comverse SMS Router network

Indian cellular services provider Bharti Airtel has deployed a Comverse SMS Router network to optimize network performance, handle SMS text messaging traffic, and enable introduction of new and advanced SMS-related services. Comverse is a US-based supplier of software and systems for messaging and content services.

Shayam Mardikar, general manager for VAS at Bharti Airtel, said: This innovative and pioneering solution makes more efficient use of our existing SMS infrastructure to provide a higher quality of service to our customers.
