1E releases version 4.0 of Nomad Enterprise

CBR Staff Writer Published 15 August 2011

Features Windows 7 migrations, software deployments and updates

IT efficiency software provider 1E has released the latest version of its software deploying Nomad Enterprise offering.

Nomad Enterprise is a software distribution tool that makes efficient use of available bandwidth while ensuring other network traffic, such as business applications, remains unaffected.

New version requires even less bandwidth for large data transfers, said the company, adding that Version 4.0 supports IPv6 and integrates with Windows Embedded Standard 2011.

The company said that the version 4.0 further minimises the amount of data sent across the WAN, therefore reducing the network bandwidth required.

It offers additional stability during the data transfer process by identifying and controlling the connection type and managing device connections seamlessly as they move between wired and wireless LANs, said 1E.

1E CEO Sumir Karayi said the company developed Nomad Enterprise to take the pain out of complex Operating System deployments and software patches even in the largest, geographically dispersed organisations, while keeping the costs down and with zero disruption to business applications.
